Repairing mySQL databases via SSH

Follow

Introduction

You may experience corrupted SQL databases at some point that break the functionality of a website, but there is an easy way to automatically repair these and restore the site to working orders.

MySQLCheck is the program that can scan and repair corrupted databases when a database is running, so you don not have to stop the server to make changes.

Prerequisites

  • SSH access to server
If you do not have access via SSH, please refer to this help article:

Auto repair a corrupted database

  1. Access the server via SSH

  2. Execute the following command:

    mysqlcheck -A --auto-repair

    (-A = check all accounts)

If the above method does not work, please submit a request to support by emailing support@serversaustralia.com.au from a registered email address.
