Activating Hyper-V Virtual Machines on Windows Server 2012 DataCenter

If you've installed Virtual Machines underneath a Server 2012 DataCenter Edition, you will actually have to specify a generic AVMA Key in order to License the Machine.

After you install the Hyper-V Role, and install a Virtual Machine with a supported Operating System, you can use one of the following Keys for Activating the License.

The following AVMA keys can be used for Windows Server 2012 R2.
Edition AVMA key

The following AVMA keys can be used for Windows Server 2016.

You can activate the normal way you would within windows on the "Control Panel\System and Security\System" section;
