How Do I Reinstall Bind in cPanel

Create a backup Directory for ' named '

# mkdir /root/_backup

Create a Backup of ' named '

# cp /etc/init.d/named /root/_backup/

Reinstall ' BIND '

# yum reinstall bind

Stop NAMED, Restart PORTRESERVE, Start NAMED

# /etc/init.d/named stop && /etc/init.d/portreserve restart && /etc/init.d/named start

$ Stopping named: . [ OK ]
$ Stopping portreserve:
$ Starting portreserve: [ OK ]
$ Starting named: [ OK ]

Check to see if ' named ' is running

# netstat -plan | grep 953 | grep named

$ tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:953               0.0.0.0:*                   LISTEN      53250/named

Check ' mail ' is flowing

# tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog

# tail -f /var/log/maillog
